Women Leaders Supporting International Men’s Day 2025

At Women Leaders UK, we believe that true gender equality is achieved when all voices are recognised, supported, and valued. That’s why we are proud to be supporting this year’s International Men’s Day event in Milton Keynes. Organised by Women Leaders Award winner and long-standing community champion, Susan Popoola, the event seeks to open up meaningful conversations around what it means to be a man in today’s world, and how we can all contribute to a more balanced, inclusive society……….

International Men’s Day 2025: What Does It Mean to Be a Man in Today’s World?

If we are to truly achieve a well-balanced and inclusive society, we need to ensure that we do not overlook the experiences of men in a world, most especially in the context of a rapidly changing world.

International Men’s Day is the perfect conduit to this, with goals that include:

Promoting Positive Role Models: Highlighting the achievements of men across various fields and encourage positive masculinity.

Addressing Men’s Health Issues: Raising awareness about mental and physical health challenges men face, including high suicide rates and underperformance in education.

Encouraging Gender Equality: Advocating for equitable treatment and opportunities for all genders, emphasizing that gender equality benefits everyone.

This year, Mosaic Fusions will be running an event on International Men’s Day (Wednesday 19th November 2025 (4–7pm) at The Ridgeway Centre, Wolverton,) bringing together men and women from across the Milton Keynes community for an evening of conversation, reflection, and connection.

The event, themed “What Does It Mean to Be a Man in Today’s World?”, will explore the experiences of men through honest and inclusive dialogue, celebrating men’s contributions while addressing identity, wellbeing, and the changing expectations of men in society.

“We see International Men’s Day not just as a moment to celebrate men, but as a platform to spark deeper conversations that lead to lasting impact,” says Susan Popoola, CEO of Mosaic Fusions Ltd, the organisation leading the event. “It’s about creating space for both men and women to engage meaningfully, fostering understanding, value, and balance in our workplaces and communities.”

Event Highlights

· Keynote Speaker: Kenny Mammarella-D’Cruz, widely known as “The Man Whisperer”, will deliver the keynote address on men’s wellbeing and connection. Kenny runs MenSpeak groups that provide safe spaces for men to share stories and challenges, helping to build resilience and authenticity.

· Panel Discussions and Talks: Insightful conversations with local leaders, employers, and community voices, including representation from partner organisations and sponsors.

· Photo Installation – “A Week in the Life of a Man”: A powerful visual feature showcasing everyday male experiences — the pressures, joys, relationships, and reflections that shape men’s lives.

· Youth Focus: A spotlight on young men’s voices, exploring their experiences, hopes, and aspirations through a panel discussion

· Networking and Refreshments: The evening will close with networking and refreshments.

Community Collaboration

This year’s event is made possible through the valued support of community-minded organisations including Yelloyoyo, MK Loft Boarding, Yamaha, Thorne Project Solutions, Do It for the Art Studios, and Women Leaders, whose shared commitment to inclusion and positive social impact reflects the spirit of International Men’s Day.

“It’s encouraging to see so many local organisations come together to support this initiative,” says Susan Popoola. “Their involvement helps us create a space that not only celebrates men but strengthens the sense of community and shared purpose across Milton Keynes.”

Lasting Impact

Following the event, Mosaic Fusions will produce a post-event insights report, capturing key reflections and recommendations. The aim is to equip employers, educators, and community organisations to engage more effectively with men’s wellbeing and inclusion — helping advance gender harmony and social cohesion in Milton Keynes and beyond.
