YOU MEANT TO NOMINATE HER

There’s a moment, just before a deadline, where intention either turns into action, or quietly slips away. Right now, that moment is here.
Nominations for the Women Leaders Awards 2026 close this Monday, and there will be no extension. Every year, there are people who meant to nominate someone, someone exceptional, someone inspiring, but simply didn’t get round to it.
The reality is, the process is far simpler than most expect. At the heart of the entry is just one question: what has the nominee achieved, and why are you nominating them? You have up to 500 words to write, but you don’t need to use them all. In practice, a strong nomination can take as little as 10 to 15 minutes to write. It’s not about perfection; it’s about recognising impact.
Across the region, women are leading teams, building businesses, supporting communities and shaping outcomes every day. Often, that work goes unseen, not because it lacks value, but because no one has taken the time to articulate it. Recognition changes that. It builds confidence, creates visibility and opens doors, not just for the individual, but for others who see what is possible.
And it doesn’t have to be someone else you’re thinking of. Many people hesitate, assuming someone will nominate them, but often due to busy schedules, that moment never comes. If you’ve considered entering yourself, there is no reason to wait.
By this time next week, the opportunity will have passed. The difference between those recognised and those missed is often just a few minutes and a decision to act.
If someone comes to mind, trust that instinct. Write what you’ve seen, what they’ve done and why it matters – and submit it before the deadline.
